Tampa Bay :
Anders Lindback likely starter for Lightning
With Ben Bishop doubtful to return from what
Tampa Bay officials are calling an upper body injury, Anders Lindback
likely will get the call in net Wednesday night for the first game of
the Lightning's opening playoff series against the Montreal Canadiens.
Lindback earned the first star of the week in
the NHL for the period ending April 13. He was thrust into action after
Bishop's injury. He posted a 3-0-0 record with a 0.67 GAA and .975 save
percentage. Whatever doubts might have lingered when the Bolts were
forced to turn to Lindback were washed away in the goalie’s three
appearances down the stretch. "He’s playing with a lot of confidence,’’
defenseman Matt Carle said. "So, it’s no surprise to see how well he’s
doing. And it’s just great for our team and we have a lot of confidence
playing in front of him.’’ That’s a far cry from where Lindback was for
most of the season. As Bishop posted franchise records with 37 wins, a
2.24 goals-against average and .924 save percentage, Lindback was
relegated to backup duties, rarely seeing playing time.
Montreal :
Brandon Prust is questionable for Game 1
Prust skated alongside Tomas Plekanec and
Brendan Gallagher during Tuesday's practice. He hasn't played since
March 18.
